We like to make music that is kinda traditional and timeless rooted in our own brand of rockin' countrified blues. Influences are every thing from Tom Waits to John Lee Hooker  to Hank Williams. Bernie King and the Guilty Pleasures features songwriter Bernie King on vocals and guitar, John Kurtis on guitar and mandolin, Matt Smith on bass, and Julie King on washboard and snare drum. A typical show features lots of originals and an eclectic mix of covers by artists like Warren Zevon, David Bowie, Fats Domino, or Johnny Cash.
