Black Bear Crossings on the Lake is the coffee shop within the Como Lakeside Pavilion in St. Paul, MN. We feature homemade pastries, specialty coffees, and several homemade soups, salads and sandwiches. A very casual atmosphere that's perfect for meeting with friends, family and colleagues.

A long time ago, we used to have a music schedule that showcased local talent. Over the years, that fell by the wayside as we worked on the catering end of the business for the banquet room on the third floor of the Pavilion. Now we'd like to get it going again! We're hoping to feature musicians every weekend, and sometimes during the week for special occasions. We're generally looking for small acoustic sets, a Capella groups, jazz groups, etc. mostly for great background music to help make our cafe on the lake more a destination than just another coffee shop.

As we're still getting our live music program up and running, we aren't able to offer much in the way of payment beyond all the soda pop and coffee you can drink, but you are welcome to put out a tip basket and any promotional material you'd like to bring. We get a wide variety of people through our doors, and can offer up as many potential bookings in the way of weddings and corporate events as you can handle.
