Joe Carey (The Chinwaggers)
Singer-songwriter guitarist Joe Carey has been involved in the music business for over 15 years. He has performed regularly throughout the midwest and has appeared on several recording projects including Loft Pavement (2000), Jim Carey Juliet Ave. (2002), and both of Nick Hensley's Love Songs For Angry Men albums (2008 and 2012). In 2003, Carey released his first solo album Wondervibe and in 2009 it's follow-up Sunflower Soul which he wrote, produced, and recorded by himself in his garage studio...even performing most of the instruments. With influences ranging from Cat Stevens and Neil Young to The Black Crowes and The Jayhawks, Joe Carey's music is best described as "soulful roots rock". Carey is currently working on a third album with his newest venture The Chinwaggers, a 5-piece roots rock band comprised of MN music veterans Jessica Carey, Blair Krivanek, Nick Sailsbury, and Jordan Carlson. The new album is slated for release in spring of 2013.
