Nathaniel Lutes is all of these things. Born into a family of music educators, expressing himself musically has always been second nature. With experience as a pianist, bassist, saxophonist, percussionist, and vocalist, Nathaniel finally found guitar to be the instrument that he felt he could fully express himself on and would allow for his musical voice to come through.

His roots on guitar being firmly planted in rock, he has made himself in demand as a lead guitarist for different projects around the Midwest with styles varying from progressive rock to singer-songwriter folk and jazz-funk to electronica. Earning his BM in Guitar Performance from McNally Smith College of Music in 2012, Nathaniel has been free to fully pursue his career in music by relocating to Chicago, IL and taking full advantage of the many opportunities there by applying his wide musical knowledge and skill.

Nathaniel’s comfort level in playing a large variety of styles, on stage and in the studio, makes him an in-demand musician for cover band and session work. His signature sound, a fusion of great technical facility with robust emotion and vitality, allows Nathaniel to remain a jack-of-all-trades guitarist who will be a musical force to be experienced by many to come.
