I am a singer-songwriter, mainly performing indie-folk songs and novelty songs that aim to inspire laughter and to educate. I have been performing as a singer-songwriter since 2002 at venues around Minneapolis and, later, in Portland, OR. In Portland, I mostly played house shows and open mics. This winter, I played a benefit house show with Reverend Loose Morals, Blowing Up Bridges, Queuing and Eidolons for Portland's Right 2 Dream sleep shelter, downtown, that raised nearly $300 for their cause.
In 2009, I recorded a CD at Wild Sound Recording Studio in Minneapolis with Matthew Zimmerman as my sound engineer and these tracks, as well as a few I engineered myself, can be heard on this profile.
In collaboration with fellow Twin Cities-native musician, Chris Lander, I produced a musical holiday show in 2010 called The ChrisTilde Holiday Show. This performence featured our original indie-folk and novelty music, holiday songs written for the occasion, and a few beloved holiday classics with a new spin. This December we performed the show again, making the ChrisTilde Holiday Show a bi-annual event and pushing the variety-show aspect of the performance further with new gags, audience participation and guests.
