As the NOMI (North Minneapolis) Alt-Acoustic Sensation, Dan Hylton’s roots in the North Minneapolis artistic scene run deep.

A member of the burgeoning Northside Arts Collective, Dan both records and plays live within his home community. As a performer, he appears solo with a guitar and in collaboration with other artists. In recording, he pursues a catchy, acoustically-driven alt-rock sound he likens to “a combination of Morrissey and Wings.” He plays all instruments on recordings, and writes his own music, sometimes sharing songwriting credits with former band mate and co-conspirator, Pat Gibbons.

His current studio effort, tentatively-titled The Secret of HIM, has a planned release of summer 2010.
