Greenwood Tree
Greenwood Tree has been charming audiences since 1985 with a unique brand of traditional music from Ireland, Scotland, England, Canada, and the United States. The duo of Stu Janis (hammered dulcimer and bowed psaltery) and Bill Cagley (guitar, mandolin, and bodhran) perform throughout the upper Midwest at weddings, parties, festivals, craft fairs, shopping malls, and more.
Greenwood Tree is also a favorite during the holiday season. The Twin Cities Reader listed their CD, An Olde English Christmas, as one of the best recordings of 1994.
Greenwood Tree was nominated for Best Folk or Traditional Band in the 1995 and 1996 Minnesota Music Awards.
