Trio Tipo

Instrumental Acoustic Ambient New Age World
The first time Steve Haskin, Don Sellers, and Terry Storhaug played together was in the spring of 2002 during the Art-A-Whirl festivities in Northeast Minneapolis. Terry would turn his antique furniture restoration shop, Old Science Renovation, into an art and music mecca for the weekend and Steve, Don and Terry decided to jam together just for fun. The musical chemistry was explosive and people listening wanted to buy their CD and then were stunned to hear that they had never played together before. After that they would get together from time to time and eventually decided to make a go of it as Trio Tipo . In the spring of 2005 they released their first CD, Where We've Been, and have been making quite a splash on the local scene since then. The week their CD came out they were featured on the TC Muzik cable TV show, interviewed on KFAI, and have been playing out all around. The music is a genre defying mix of influences from all over and they consistently provide an enjoyable listen to all who hear them. Though their sound has evolved into what seems to be their own genre which they've called Acoustic Fusion their potential is still largely untapped. As they look toward a full schedule thru out the rest of the year they are already beginning to look toward their second CD Trio Tipo promises to be ever more creative as they continue to ride the wave that's been bringing an enthusiastic responses from all who hear them.
