David Daniels blends the spiritual,political and social themes found in Reggae Music into a unique Theater/Spoken Word performance.

His play Malcolm X Meet Peter Tosh was lauded by Denver's Rocky Mountain News as The year's top cultural offering
He has presented his work at First Avenue,Nuyorican Poets Cafe in NYC,as well as in Freiberg Germany


Daniels received the 97-98 Many Voices Award from the Playwrights Center.

As a spoken word artist,he has shared the stage with The Wailers Band,dub poetry pioneer Linton Kwezi Johnson,and the Big Wu among others.

In 2004,he released Talkin'Roots,a spoken word/music CD.In 2006,Daniels,with The Talkin' Roots Crew Released the Concept CD,4:20 Report

Daniels'last stage presentation was Black Hippie Chronicles,an autobiographical romp through the worlds of peace,love,pot and growing up in middle class Black America. Black Hippie Chronicles was inspired by a meeting between Daniels,and monologuist Spalding Grey.

In addition,Daniels fronts the music/spoken word ensemble Talkin'Roots Crew,an acoustic reggae/spoken word/jam band,bringing rhythm to Daniels' literary work
