A mix of folk artist, dharma teacher, and comedienne, her music is best described by the effect it has on her audience rather than a particular genre. A winner of several awards including the 2009 Just Plain Folks Best Female Singer Songwriter CD (Break The Spell), as well as being voted the “Most Wanted To Return” performer at both Falcon Ridge Folk Festival and Sisters Folk Festival, she has also received Top 5 recognition in the Telluride Troubadour Song Contest and the Rocky Mountain Folks Fest Song Contest. She has repeatedly been voted “Best Local Musician” in Minneapolis by readers of Lavender Magazine and the Minnesota Women’s Press. In addition, she has independently sold more than 35,000 copies of her CDs.
