Troy Russel plays American-roots music in the country/blues/folk traditions, accompanied on harmonica by Don Dammer and percussion by Craig Little. Troy performs regulary around the Twin Cities including hosting a monthly open stage at Anodyne Coffeehouse in Minneapolis. Troy also tours the Mid-West performing at coffeehouses, cafes, taverns, fairs and festivals.
In June 2009 Troy released his third CD-EP titled Salty Dog Blues with Sun-Optikos Publications. The recent EP includes five blues standards including "Sitting On Top Of The World" and "Step It Up And Go".
