THEY LIVE
Drawing influence from 80's goth bands like The Cure and Joy Division, as well as more hardcore bands like Samhain and Black Flag, They Live's music showcases a dark, unrelenting and at times highly melodic sound that is sure to be a breath of fresh air to listeners tired of that passive nancy boy sound that's been all the rage these past few years.
They Live has been playing in the twin cities and the midwest in general for four years now.
In August of 2005 they released the Wolf Attack single and began playing shows with new drummer Greg Johnson. 2006 saw them playing out a lot more and achieving a degree of local success before heading into the studio to record their debut EP No Escape.
They Live's music has been described as not hardcore,screamo,pop-rock,metal or emo, but a balance of old school misfits and tragic rock 'n' roll. Give them a listen and decide for yourself.
