A singer/songwriter from Stillwater, MN. I've been lucky enough to live in many great music cities like Seattle, Chicago & New Orleans. While living in these cities, I've met and been influenced by a multitude of great artists. These artists have helped me to develop my style.

I think the reason I gravitate towards certain singer/songwriters is when I listen to a piece of music whether it be folk, country, rock or classical etc, I feel like I'm watching a movie or living it 1st hand. I consider that a work of art. A lot of music is just a bunch of words put together with some notes. Good music makes you take a break from your own existence and live an experience you have no connection to through the song. That is what I love about music and why it is so special to me. It's like a free vacation.  I take the same approach when writing a song.   I want everyone listening to start the movie projector in their head as they're listening

I play music from a number of artists. John Denver, Kris Kristofferson, John Prine, Damien Rice, The Rolling Stones, Guy Clark, Zac Brown Band, Jerry Jeff Walker, Cat Stevens and Gordon Lightfoot are but a few of the artists who’s work I cover. I’ve tried to pick songs that make people want to sing along. It’s all about having fun.

What really makes me happy is when I can introduce new music to people or spark a memory with a song from the past. When they're smiling and singing along, you know you've made a connection. It's all about making them happy so they can forget about their troubles for a while.
