Built with user generated content representing a diverse range of artists and venues, Hear It Local features an interactive database of local, independent musicians, a comprehensive live music calendar, and a collection of local music to be enjoyed through an integrated audio player.

From the home page, select the city you created the account in and below the login box on the right, select "Forgot your password?" 

Yes. Simply create an account for one of your entities (music fan, musician, venue). Once your account has been created, scroll down on the Profile Switcher to find the text, Add a profile.

From there you can add additional artist/musician or venue profiles.

There’s a lot of functionality that’s only available after you log in. This includes both social networking and the option to rate artists and venues. Signing up as a member also includes exclusive benefits for each member type:

• Artists can upload shows to the live music calendar, create music channels for the fans and otherwise help build a local fan base.
• Venues can promote their shows and check out new artists for gigging opportunities
• Music fans can connect with each other, send shows to their personal music calendars, and get real-time updates from their favorite artist.

The easiest way is to hit the “Artist” link on the navigation bar. From there you can use the search field to find a particular artist or browse artists by genre, top-rated, most popular, or alphabetically.  

First you need to login. Next, go to the “Find People” link on the navigation bar to find friends. Hit the “add friend” button. You can also become a fan of any venue, business, or artist by going directly to their profile page.  Check out the “Friends” and “Favorites” section under “your stuff” to view status updates from your connections.

Yes. You can manage several bands and artists on your account by going to
"your profile" and then going to "add another artist profile." This is helpful for band members who are in several bands and happen to manage all of their bands’ online activities.

Yes. If you do not have an account already, sign up as a “venue owner / manager.” Once this is complete and you are logged in, go to "your profile." Simply select the calendar icon to manage your shows. 

Yes. You can promote several artists under one account for free.

All you have to do is create a "music related business" account by signing up under “join” in the top navigational bar. Then select the appropriate business type. Once you've completed your business profile, you can then go to "my profile" to create multiple artist profiles.

How do we work with promoters? 

• Once you get set up as a promoter on Hear It Local, you’ll get access to tools that will make content management, logistics, and show promotion a snap. Here’s what we’ll do for you: 
  • Automate your calendar. We make it easy to maintain a media-rich calendar on Hear It Local. 
  • Using our API, we’ll display the media rich calendar on your own website. (If you don’t have a site, we’ll set one up for you!) 
  • Synchronize your calendar with social media. We’ll connect your account to Facebook and Twitter to automate the promotion of your events. 
  • Set you up with online radio. We’ll hook you up with a radio channel on Hear It Local and on your own website that plays songs from the artists you work with.
