You may think you've sung every possible karaoke song in the DJ's book. That is until you've perused The Infernal Singalong Machine's list. Think you've mastered 20,000 songs from that last 50 years of music history? We didn't think so. Pick from the popular (and the obscure) and belt it out during the Night of Karaoke at the Acadia Cafe, hosted by former Radio K Cosmic Slop co-host Joel Stitzel. The weekly karaoke night features Minnesota music and entertainment company [indiesoup] presents and is guaranteed to provide fresh musical material, some unexpected (putting it politely) talent, and plenty of laughs. Don't say we didn't warn you when you decide "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama is the perfect song for you and two friends to harmonize with. 9 p.m. Free

Darrian Kaye (Minneapolis: Indy/Rock/Alternative) is a young solo artist and musician. AT the age of 17 she has drawn recognition for her earthy soulful style, lyrical content with insight well beyond her years and melodies that the listener carries away with them.

Walking in the classic footsteps of creative folk, pop and rock artists like Tracy Chapman, Ritchie Havens, Joni Mitchell to name a few mixed with a host of modern influences like An Horse, the Cranberries, Teagen and Sarah and Modest Mouse.

Darrian's end product is a distinct soulful blend of Folk and Pop with undertones of Jazz and Rock.
She has 2 CD releases to her credit, a new Album "Wake Up For Yourself" has just been released and is availabe at all live shows along with an E.P. called "If I Were Right" released last year.

IT'S TIME !!! I'll be back in the Piano Lounge this Saturday night along with the incredible Judi Donaghy Vinar. A few of Judi's voice students will also be there to sing and Judi and I will try to sing as many of our greatest hits as time will allow. There aren't many piano bars left ... so stop in and experience the incredibly fun time, the fabulous martinis and the folks who gather 'round to sing along, request a song and enjoy the "back room". Bring in some sheet music if you would like to sit in!

There is a parking lot on the west side of the building ... enter from University Avenue or the alley.

We hope to see you there!
