Hear It Local helps fans discover local music, promoters and
venues book local talent, and artists get more paying gigs.

All three of us, Ross Klawitter, Reese Klawitter, and Ryan Schmidt were raised in a tiny town 50 miles west of Mankato. Right now, the band is apart over 1500 miles as Ross studies at Arizona State University. Reese is at Gustavus Adolfus College in St. Peter and little Schmidter is working in Mankato.
Reese and Ross both play both the guitar and the drums, so on their album and during their shows, they take turns rockin' out on each one. They both write their own songs, and Schmidter just plays the bass.
IdiotKin is currently preparing to record their first studio album to be the follow up to their live debut, That's a Lotta Cheese! The new record, tentatively entitled, Sophomore Effort, will be recorded this summer and should be available in record stores throughout Phoenix (Zia Records, etc.) and Minneapolis (Aardvark Records).
Following the recording, IdiotKin will beging submitting their work to major and indie labels in hopes of getting a record deal.
